The Flaming Coals Tempmaster Pro | Automatic Smoker Temperature Control unit is the ideal add-on to take cooking in your smoker to the next level of control and is the best way to control your smoker temperature.  Simply enter your desired cooking temperature using the control unit, and the included probe monitors the ambient temperature in your smoker – adjusting the fan speed to ensure the right amount of air is reaching the fire to maintain your pre-selected temperature. All components of the Flaming Coals Tempmaster Pro run on a single 240v power connection and can also operate on 12v supply (leads not included).

One nifty little feature of the Tempmaster Pro Digital Thermostat for your BBQ or smoker is the 3 stage fan speed control. You don’t want the fan working at 100% speed when you reach your desired temperate as this will create temperature spikes in your cooking. You want the fan to slow down when you are close to your set temperature to eliminate a spike. This can all be adjusted in the settings.

Smoker Temperature Control Settings:

• To set the desired temperature simply press + or – buttons
• To enter the advance settings hold down the + and – buttons together for 3 seconds. To cycle the settings menu, release the 2 buttons and quickly press them again for 3 seconds
• All changes are automatically saved

 

Digital BBQ Thermostat Advance settings are:

• FC = Press + or – to cycle between Fahrenheit or celsius 
• PD = Adjust/calibrate probe display temperature. Press + to increase the display temperature and – to decrease the display temperature
• Hi = Adjust the fan speed as a percentage when the temperature reaches 80 – 95% of your set target temperature. So, if you set your desired pit temperature to be 200°F and you set the Hi number to 75 this means that when the pit reaches 160°F (80% of 200°) the fan will slow down to 75% of its maximum speed until the pit temperature reaches 190°F (95% of 200°). After this, the control unit goes to the Lo fan settings.
• Lo = Adjust the fan speed as a percentage when the temperature reaches 95 – 100% of your set target temperature
